Drilled geotechnical borings nearly 50 feet deep to evaluate liquefaction potential and seismic hazards for a new residence.

Site was formerly used as a gravel quarry which was subsequently filled in with uncompacted, poor quality silts and clay soils.

Foundation support options included pipe piles or a mat/raft foundation system to limit potential differential settlement.
